2010 Porsche Panamera Hatchback
The 2010 Porsche Panamera is a brand-new luxury sports sedan, the first of its kind from the legendary sports car manufacturer. The Panamera seats four passengers swathed in a luxurious interior that is very well equipped. The S trim is available with RWD or AWD and is powered by a 4.8L V8 making 400 hp. The mighty Turbo version is only available with AWD and adds twin-turbos to the V8 to produce 500 hp. All versions are equipped with the Porsche PDK dual-clutch transmission which can be driven smoothly or be used to snap off lightning quick shifts. The Panamera is also home to a unique start-stop system which can shut the engine off at complete stops to help conserve fuel, it turns back on as soon as the brake pedal is released.
Benefits of Driving a 2010 Porsche Panamera Hatchback
Launched in 2010, the Panamera is Porsche’s first 4-door 4-seat grand tourer. Its basic design is a complete departure from most of Porsche’s rear and mid-engine sports car tradition, utilizing a front-mounted engine. The styling is unmistakably Porsche, with hints of 911 throughout but with an elongated shape that provides comfortable seating in the rear-even for passengers over 6 feet tall. It’s perfect for those looking for the comfort and room of a BMW 7-series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, while wanting the performance and handling that is Porsche’s trademark.
What’s new for 2010?
All new for 2010, the Porsche Panamera is offered in three separate models: The rear-wheel drive S, the all-wheel drive 4S, and the all-wheel drive Turbo. The S and 4S are powered by a 4.8L V8 making 400 horsepower, while the top of the line Turbo gets twin turbochargers, which bumps power output to 500 hp. Porsche’s PDK 7-speed automatic transmission is the only available gearbox.
Model Strengths
Unmistakable styling, Porsche-standard performance and luxury, seating for four in well-appointed interior.
Model Review
The Panamera fills the gap in Porsche’s line between sports cars and the Cayenne SUV, offering high speed touring for four in a comfortable and spacious package. It’s especially wide at 76 inches, and its 195 inch length and 55.8 inch height make for plenty of interior space, and its rear hatch gives good access to its 15.7-cubic feet of storage space. Flop the seatbacks down, and there’s room for 44.6 cubic feet of luggage.

Mansory Switzerland enhances the Porsche Panamera. The specialist for exclusive refinement of premium automobiles turns the four-door Gran Turismo into a power pack which is even more dynamic and exclusive and most of all has a significantly more distinct appearance.
Originally, the company owner Kourosh Mansory solely focused on British luxury cars, but meanwhile he has also proven his talent for Italian brands such as the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and automobiles like the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. After the Chopster Cayenne, the Mansory Porsche Panamera is already the second Porsche which is given the honour to become entirely modified by Mansory.
Also, the new Porsche will receive an individual design language according to the Mansory tradition. Its engineers produce the new aerodynamics components in high-strength polyurethane (PU-RIM) and Prepreg-Autoclav-Carbon, the characteristic material for Mansory. As the car is lowered by 35 millimetres and equipped with new wheels measuring 9,5×21 and 11,5×21 inches as well as a sport exhaust system, the new personality of the Mansory Porsche Panamera becomes significantly more visual and audible.
In order to provide the driver directly with the experience of an automobile refined by Mansory, the engineers included extensive refinements. A widespread leather interior can be individually matched with the most precious woods, finest varnish or dynamic carbon. The pedals made of brushed aluminium perfect the interior equipment. With the newly designed sports steering wheel, the driver can feel the elegance of the refined Porsche straight in his hands.
Mansory Switzerland bestows an individual appearance to the Porsche Panamera. The complex refinement turns a sports car for journeys into a characteristic personality – after all a real Mansory.
